Idaho's St. Joe River "Cutthroat" Adventure
Few Fisherman realize that the remnant populations of cutthroat are now only found in less than 2% of our western rivers. Panhandle Outfitters will guide you back to the days of Lewis & Clark where you can still experience wild native cutthroat. If continuos dry-fly action is your pleasure it's the trademark of these prized fish.
Idaho's St. Joe is nationally classified as a Wild and Scenic River. Imagine yourself on a virgin river where the trout are wild, the flowers are scarlet and the pine trees march straight up the mountain. Home to the westslope cutthroat this freestone fishery offers some of the highest quality and most scenic walk and wade fishing in the west. Key attractions are prolific hatches, high fish counts per river mile, wild dry-fly action and native cutthroat to 20 inches.
